Graycliff owner and world renowned sommelier Enrico Garzaroli found himself in the cigar business almost by accident. Having opened the Caribbean’s first 5 star restaurant, which is also home to the world’s second larges private wine collection, Enrico wanted to offer a selection of fine cigars to his guests to complement the fine food and libations offered on the menu. Unsatisfied with even the finest cigars available at the time, Enrico set out to make the cigars himself that would meet his high standards. To do this he brought on Avelino Lara, the former personal roller to Fidel Castro and the man credited with founding the Cuban Cohiba brand. Avelino lead a team of expert rollers to make the first Graycliff line of cigars. Today the brand is more popular than ever with several line extensions.
